KAKIRA:  Fred Kakooza the assistant lecturer in the department of Journalism and Communication at Makerere University yesterday Saturday December 12 escaped death by whisker   after a golf car he was driving slipped off the road rolling into the nearby bush.

The ugly scene occurred at Kakira along Jinja high way leaving no one injured in a car though according to unconfirmed reports the occupants sustained minor injuries.

It is reported that all the four people in a car are safe

Mr. Kakooza who was driving notes that the cause of the accident was lack of sight following water splash from the car from the opposite. The water was stagnant in a middle of the road in huge pot hole. This facilitated their failure to cross leading to slipping off the road.

“There was a deep pool of water on the road, crossing it with another car from the opposite direction splashed water that covered my wind (front) screen I was blinded and lost control,” Mr. Kakoooza said

Meanwhile, the case was registered at Kakira Police station and the car has been cleared to leave .
